Thank you for sharing, Jennifer! I appreciate your real experiences and the fact you’re always learning and stretching. 🙌 Maybe you’ll lead a trip to San Miguel in the future?
I love these 2-3 color fast sketches, the color stories are so evocative! I love Mexico City so much and your notebook took me right back there, thank you for sharing.
That seems so real that if you lift your pen you can get tight and think too much, great tip! Thanks for sharing, love the freshness and it reminded me of our lovely February visit to Portugal 2 years ago. Also wonderful culture.
Fantastic sketchbook pages, and I love the photo of all of you with your books! The 2-3 markers approach is so interesting; I love how the choices give each set of pages their own feeling. Thank for sharing!
Always inspiring, thank you Jennifer! As a fellow introvert, one of my goals this year is to get out and sketch in the world more. Each time I do get out and sketch it helps me be less judgemental of my work, knowing it's just an idea and most important for me is not being so self conscious drawing in public. I like the way you chose one marker too.
I have been to many places in Mexico, including SMA and CDMX so I know the joy you are feeling. Due to the political climate in the U.S. right now, perhaps more escapes and retreats outside the U.S. are in order for the next 4 years.
I love the these sketches so much! You're so right, the limited pens give drama, especially that red building!😍 I think I'm going to look at my Tombows in a whole new way now, thanks Jennifer!❤️
A lovely gathering! Will yo visit Guanajuato City? Also a great sketching venue. Glad you are having such a great experience ! (Hugs to Maru from Janice L-H)
So vibrant and alive! I can almost hear the music and smell the aromas! Your drawings are so wonderful to see. I have been to Oaxaca and you certainly captured the energy and beauty.

To constantly push and learn can be so uncomfortable, but it makes change happen and that's what I'm looking for. Possible for a retreat here!!!
Yes! I concur. Beautiful sketches and now am wanting to go there too and capture the environment!

Thank you! I'm exploring different ways of navigating at all through color and line every day!
Thank you for this great post from a San Miguelense. I love your artwork.

Thanks so much, yes, once I started drawing quickly like that outdoors there is much more energy to the drawings!

So true, I’m on my way home and I had an awful anxiety dream last night. It’s a nightmare.
I’m loving San Miguel de Allende with you, these sketches are wonderful!

What a stunning collection of memories❤️
Thanks Loli!
Thanks for this wonderful share...I've nearly made it to San Miguel a dozen times over the past 40 years...Who knows, I may actually make it one day.
I’ve wanted to come for so long and this is my first time. Try to get here, it’s lovely!
