and me this Sunday, March 9th, from 1-3 PM EST for our latest Zoom class! We’ll be painting faces in a fun, loose, and carefree way—no pressure to make them look like the person. We’ll share an easy approach to drawing faces as we go.We’ll start with a quick show-and-tell, sharing our latest work and sketchbooks from San Miguel. Then, in our two 40-minute demos, we’ll each paint faces with unique features, exploring different styles and techniques. Can’t wait to paint with you! All levels welcome.
We are committed to making our workshops accessible to everyone. While the suggested minimum contribution is $40, we encourage you to give according to your means. Remember, the dedication and effort we invest in preparing these workshops are significant, and your generous support enables us to continue offering quality experiences. By contributing more, you help subsidize those who are less able to pay, fostering a community of inclusivity and shared learning.
I was on a flight and decided to watch a movie without sound, using the actors' faces and expressions as reference. It made the trip go by pretty fast!
I've been having so much fun with my little sketchbook and markers! Here are some of my latest sketches—did these while I was in Puerto Rico over the weekend, so they’re almost all about the trip.
Two women deep in conversation sitting across from me.
The jungle “wall” that was the backround to so many views.
We took a day trip to a beautiful beach.
Gardener watering the plants in a patio garden.
At the beach again and watching a woman doing her thing.
Back in NY, I stopped and leaned against a building and drew what was across the street. I left out a building in between that was covered in scaffolding.
Thanks for reading and I hope to see many of you on Sunday!

I would be interested in you sharing the marker colors you used in the drawings you showed, especially the yellow-brown of the cathedral and the burgundy of the building nearby.
Maybe you will discuss on the webinar!
thanks!
I love your artwork - it makes me feel happy.
