New retreat, new friends, new experiences!

Hello Everyone!

I’m excited to announce our Spring 2025 painting trip to Morocco! This is my 3rd time there and I’m so looking for to being immersed back into the beautiful world of rich color, exotic pattern, mint tea and the kindest people. My co-teacher

and I will nurture your creativity and we will all create sketchbooks full of memories, joy and paint.

There are 8 spots still available, we open it first to our previous attendees and Patreon members. They do go quickly so grab a spot if you’ve been wanting to paint with us. If you are wary of sharing a room, we have found that the strongest friendships develop here.

We will spend a week at the beautiful Atlas Kasbah, near Agadir, a lush self contained oasis, filled with inspiration and beauty. The daily painting sessions are influenced by the landscape, people and patterns around us. You will soak up the warm peachy pink desert colors of the Atlas Mountains in the views around us. We will draw Berber women demonstrating making argon oil. We will jump into the pool (if you want to of course)! to cool off which is right next to our painting tables. We are planning daily yoga, there are wonderful spa treatments and a hammam right on site, we do lots of daily painting and drawing, and take a few day trips to a beach and the local souk.

We develop our painting practice through the process of looking closely and drawing and have developed a series of fun warm up art exercises we do every morning that jump start the day

We will meet you where you are in your art practice, come with a smile and a desire to play and learn, make lasting friendships, eat delicious food and see a new part of the world. You will feel safe and secure, we work hard to create a nurturing happy environment for all.

I’m on the train right now from Southern Portugal up to Lisbon. (I don’t have a window at my seat so I drew these little imaginary faces)

We just finished a glorious retreat week at the Quinta Bonita in the Algarve, Portugal. I have lots to show and share from this wonderful trip but my internet is wonky and I only have my phone so I’ll save it for next time. Stay tuned.

I hope to see some of you in Morocco next year, it will be a special trip!
